Jewelry Inspired by Life

I knew from an early age that I would grow up to be either an artist or a veterinarian. At some point I decided to fill my house with pets and go the route of making art for a living.

When I entered college I thought I would either become a graphic designer or a painter. It wasn’t until I took my first sculpture class that I discovered my love of working 3-dimensionally.

I decided to venture into the world of jewelry for several reasons, besides who wouldn’t enjoy playing with gold and diamonds all day?!

One deciding factor in choosing jewelry was the fact that for several years I had a design for a ring stuck in my head. I had gone to several jewelry stores and asked if they could make it for me. Every one of them said no.

I decided that I would learn how to make it myself. (I must admit that I do know how to make the ring now, but I have yet to make it – perhaps someday I will!)

I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Tyler School of Art / Temple University in 1992 and immediately setup a jewelry design studio in my house.

I have been designing jewelry ever since.
